Accra High Court adjourns Daddy Lumba injunction case to May 14

The Accra High Court has postponed the injunction case related to the planned Life Celebration of the late Ghanaian music legend Daddy Lumba until May 14, 2026.

The postponement will allow the court to decide whether Kwabena Brefo, the newly appointed Abusuapanin, can join the ongoing legal proceedings.

Kwabena Brefo has submitted a formal application to be included in the suit. If the court approves his request on the next adjourned date, a new timeline will be established for directions leading to the full hearing of the case.

In a video statement, Kwabena Brefo appealed to family members and the general public to remain calm and let the legal process unfold.

According to him, there were expectations that the matter would be resolved during the latest court sitting.

However, upon arrival, it became apparent that a new application had been submitted, resulting in the postponement.

He stressed the importance of patience, stating that the family should remain quiet and wait for the lawyers to present their arguments in court.
