Francis Amo breaks silence on arrest and Church of Pentecost dispute

Francis Amo, a gospel singer, has spoken out about his recent arrest, confirming that the dispute with the Church of Pentecost has been resolved outside of court.

In an interview with Radio XYZ on April 21, 2026, Amo explained that the issue began after he recorded a cover of the Church of Pentecost's song "Ne Din Ne Jesus."

He had initially been invited by the church to perform the song at one of their events. During his performance, he felt inspired to add his own creative touch to the song, leading him to produce a worship-style version.

Amo noted that the song's message was powerful and evangelistic, and he believed he had the ability to elevate it further through his rendition.

However, the situation escalated into a shocking and painful experience. He revealed that he was invited by the police for questioning, only to be informed upon arrival that he was under arrest.

He was later granted bail and released the same day. Amo confirmed that the song has since been taken down, and both parties have agreed to resolve the matter privately.

He added that after discussions with the church leadership, they mutually decided to drop the case. Despite the resolution, the singer admitted that the incident had a significant emotional impact on him and his family.

He expressed particular concern about how his children learned of his arrest through social media, which he said caused him deep pain.
