    The 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards 2026 came off on Saturday night at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, bringing together some of Ghana’s biggest music stars for a celebration of excellence in the industry.

    The night belonged largely to Black Sherif, who emerged the biggest winner after clinching the coveted Artiste of the Year award alongside Album of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Afropop Song of the Year and Hip-Hop Song of the Year. The triumph marks his second Artiste of the Year win after first taking home the prize in 2023.

    Several other artistes also recorded major wins on the night. Medikal picked up three awards including Hiplife Song of the Year and Best Collaboration, while Kofi Kinaata won Highlife Song of the Year and Highlife Artiste of the Year. Stonebwoy retained his Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year title, as Diana Hamilton was named Gospel Artiste of the Year.
