56-year-old man In Custody For Allegedly Raping Two Female Students

A 56-year-old security man at the Ayeduase Roman Catholic Junior High School has been summoned before the Asokore Mampong District Court for alleged rape and sextortion of two female students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Lloyd Kwaku Boateng, the accused is held for sexual assault and intimidation of female students in February and April 4,2026.

The accused has been charged with 2 cases;

In the first, the incident happened around 9:00pm on February 13,2026.

A 22-year-old KNUST female student, whose identity for some reasons can't be communicated, visited the school with her boyfriend.

Asokore Mampong District Court presided by Her Worship Hilda Esther Wryter, was told that the accused seized their mobile phones, room keys and forcibly took 300gh from them. He forced the complainant's boyfriend out of the compound and dragged the complainant into one of the classroom. Despite her hard struggles and attempt to free herself, she got raped by Kwaku Boateng, the accused.

"According to the complainant, the accused threatened to strip her naked and parade her by the roadside in an attempt to humiliate her when she was left alone with the accused", Police prosecutor, Chief Inspector Samuel Agyare communicated.

On the second case, the accused made the same ordeal.

A 23-year-old female student was walking around the school compound with her boyfriend for fresh air.

The accused, Lloyd Kwaku Boateng approached them and said they were violating school rules. It was on the night of April 4. He allegedly assaulted them and forced the boyfriend out of the compound and threatened the complainant to transfer 150 cedis from her mobile money wallet to him.

At knife point, he had sexual intercourse with her, took nude photographs of her and threatened to release them if she attempts to report to the police. He held hostage of the complainant till early hours of April 5, the next day.

Kwaku Boateng was arrested on April 13, when he tried to use same tactics on another person and was caught by the boyfriend of one of the complainants withe help on some community members and handed him over to the police.

Police investigations for both complainants were filed and endorsed by medical doctors confirming the physical trauma involved. Kwaku Boateng, the accused, denied allegations during a statement at the police station.

The case has been suspended until May 8 whiles Lloyd Kwaku Boateng is still remanded in police custody.
