85 Ghanaians evacuated from Cambodia between March and May this year - Ablakwa

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has confirmed that the government has evacuated 85 Ghanaians from Cambodia between March and May this year, and an additional 76 individuals are being evacuated to complete the exercise.

Mr. Ablakwa has also alerted the public to a fake notice circulating, which falsely claims that Ghanaians have been asked to leave Cambodia.

Before the publication of the fake notice, several Ghanaians in Cambodia had contacted the Foreign Ministry and the High Commission in Malaysia, requesting evacuation assistance, and are currently being supported.

As Mr. Ablakwa stated, "We have evacuated 85 Ghanaians from Cambodia between March and May this year. 76 more are being evacuated to complete the exercise."

The welfare of Ghanaians globally remains the government's top priority.
