Accra socialite Joseph Kwadwo Badu Boateng, also known as Dada Joe Remix, has pleaded guilty in a US court to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and other charges related to a $4.4m case.

Prosecutors stated that Boateng acknowledged participating in a romance and inheritance scam with accomplices between 2013 and March 2023.

The group primarily targeted elderly victims in Arizona and other US states.

As part of his plea agreement, Boateng has agreed to repay approximately $4.4m to the victims. Sentencing is scheduled for September 8, 2026.
