Fire destroys parts of Nima Market

A fire outbreak occurred late Monday night at the Nima Market, resulting in the destruction of goods and properties belonging to several traders.

The fire reportedly started at 11:20 p.m., causing widespread panic among traders and residents as flames spread rapidly through the market.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) personnel responded promptly to the scene, successfully containing the blaze and preventing it from spreading to adjacent structures. Their swift intervention averted a potentially catastrophic disaster in the commercial area.

No casualties were reported.

By Tuesday morning, affected traders and residents had returned to the market to salvage surviving items and assess the damage caused by the incident.
