Ghana signs MoU with Cambridge Education to strengthen education reform agenda

The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cambridge Education at the Education World Forum, aimed at propelling Ghana's education reform agenda forward.

The agreement is expected to provide a collaborative framework to enhance key areas of the education sector, including system analysis, curriculum development, assessment reforms, and teacher professional development.

The agreement also prioritizes emerging cross-cutting issues such as climate education and the integration of Artificial Intelligence into teaching and learning systems.

According to the Ministry, the partnership is designed to support Ghana's efforts to build a more responsive, modern, and skills-oriented education system capable of meeting global standards and labour market demands.

The collaboration will also explore ways to improve learning outcomes through evidence-based policy design and enhanced capacity building for educators.

The signing took place on the sidelines of the Education World Forum, a global platform that brings together education ministers and policymakers to discuss reforms and innovations in the sector.

The Ministry of Education described the partnership as a significant step toward accelerating ongoing reforms and strengthening Ghana’s long-term human capital development strategy.
