IGP promotes five officers over Kwafokrom GOIL robbery arrests

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has recognized the outstanding contributions of five police officers by promoting them for their role in apprehending suspects linked to the robbery attack at the GOIL Filling Station in Kwafokrom near Nsawam in the Eastern Region.

The officers who received this recognition are Chief Inspector Eric Otoo, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Otu, General Sergeant Philip Amoah, Policewoman Constable Victoria Asiedu, and Policewoman Constable Rosemond A. Frimpong.

As part of this recognition, Chief Inspectors Eric Otoo and Emmanuel Otu have been granted direct entry into the Police Academy, while General Sergeant Philip Amoah, Policewoman Constable Victoria Asiedu, and Policewoman Constable Rosemond A. Frimpong have all been promoted to their next ranks.

The officers were commended for their exceptional professionalism, dedication, and swift response, which led to the successful apprehension of two suspects connected to the robbery incident.

The IGP, together with the Police Management Board (POMAB), commended the officers for their outstanding performance and reaffirmed the Ghana Police Service’s commitment to tackling violent crime and safeguarding lives and property across the country.
