Police arrest suspect over shooting incident at Adjin Kotoku Onion Market

The Ghana Police Service has apprehended a 40-year-old male suspect in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the Adjin Kotoku Onion Market on April 5, 2026.
The suspect, identified as Inusah Seidu, was taken into custody on April 8, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m. from his hideout at Adjin Kotoku following an intelligence-led operation.
According to the Police, a team of surveillance officers from the Special Operations Assistant (SOA) to the Inspector General of Police was deployed to the area after the disturbance to track down those involved in the incident.
Seidu is believed to have played a role in the shooting and is currently in Police custody assisting with investigations.
The Police further indicated that efforts are underway to locate and arrest other individuals connected to the incident, as investigations continue.
