Police promote seven officers after Tema robbery operation

The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has approved the promotion of seven police officers from Tema, following their outstanding performance in an anti-robbery operation.

The operation, which took place at Tema Community 5, resulted in two suspects being shot and a firearm recovered.

According to the police, the officers responded promptly to a robbery attack on a mobile money vendor, leading to an exchange that resulted in the shooting of two robbery suspects. The officers also recovered a firearm, ammunition, and other items linked to the attack.

The promoted officers are Chief Inspector Enoch Nartey Nuer, Inspector Gershon Dekpey, Inspector Prince Asante, Sergeant Lukman Mohammed, Sergeant Eugene Kuudouru, Corporal Jerome Akator, and Lance Corporal Jonathan Sewurah.

Mr Yohuno, together with members of the Police Management Board, congratulated the officers and praised their courage, discipline, and commitment to duty.

He emphasized that the promotions should be seen as a call to higher responsibility and urged all police personnel to continue serving with dedication and professionalism.
