Seven Women Arrested Over Contaminated Palm Oil

Seven women have been arrested for allegedly selling palm oil mixed with a harmful chemical known as Sudan dye.

Investigations revealed that the suspects had several gallons of adulterated palm oil, believed to be treated to improve its colour and attract buyers.

Officials say the use of Sudan dye is very harmful and can cause serious health problems such as cancer and damage to vital organs if consumed over time.

Authorities have warned traders to stop such illegal practices or face punishment. They also advised the public to be careful when buying palm oil and to report any suspicious products.

Health experts are urging consumers to always buy food items from trusted sources to stay safe.
