Mahama arrives in Brazzaville for Sassou N’Guesso inauguration

President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, to participate in the investiture ceremony of President Denis Sassou N’Guesso, who has secured re-election for a further five-year term as President of the Republic of Congo.

Following the launch of his flagship Free Primary Healthcare policy at the Shai-Osudoku District Hospital in Dodowa earlier on Wednesday, President Mahama traveled to Brazzaville.

The day’s events also included the announcement of government measures aimed at mitigating rising fuel prices.

The investiture ceremony is scheduled for Thursday morning, after which President Mahama will return to Accra.

As one of Africa’s longest-serving leaders, President Sassou N’Guesso has been re-elected for a new five-year term as the head of the central African nation.
