Mahama launches Ghana’s e-visa portal

President John Dramani Mahama has launched the country’s electronic visa (e-visa) portal.

The launch organised on May 25, 2026 coincided with the 63rd African Union Day.

The introduction of the e-visa portal is expected to revolutionise Ghana’s visa processing regime by replacing manual procedures with a secured technology-driven online system designed to improve border security management, efficiency and transparency.

The launch was graced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica.
